DP ARCHIVAL RELEASE 001 =======

"October Light" is composed of minute 'musical activities' that each lie isolated within their own frequency-band and are relatively separated across the frequency range of 55Hz-3.08kHz. This musical material utilizes the first seven partials of the harmonic series of a concert A (440Hz) and their octave multiples.

Although "October Light" primarily deals with micro-change (and near-static pitches) within these 'musical activities,' their separation from each other offers the listener the opportunity to focus on each of them separately, at different times throughout the piece, therefore creating an unconventional type of 'musical change,' one that is based on the listener's attention span and is shaped differently for each listener, upon each listen.
